Shaded Summer Step-by-Step

Create striking yet easy-to-craft cards with our Shaded Summer Stamp Set and coordinating Summer Shadows Dies (found in our Sale-A-Bration brochure!). We adhered contrasting strips of cardstock one at a time, using Stampin’ SEAL on each strip to create a stunning focal point. (Our color combo? We used Just Jade, Petal Pink, and Soft Succulent Cardstock, but choose whichever combination you love best!) Then, simply stamp the floral image and sentiment and layer them over a piece of Vellum Cardstock to create dimensional interest. Artfully arrange a few Elegant Faceted Gems on your card for a glamourous finish . . . and there you have it! Easy elegance in just minutes.

Here’s a fun technique to add to your crafting repertoire! Did you know that you can customize the color of your baker’s twine by soaking it in a little rubbing alcohol with your choice of Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill? Or you can simply color the twine using a Stampin’ Blend. Once that’s done, add depth and sophistication to your avid card by applying a little Flirty Flamingo ink to the floral image with a Sponge Dauber. We also spiced up the Vellum Cardstock piece by heat setting the Just Jade images using a Heat Tool.

ARTFULLY AVID

For our most posh and detailed project, we added a few delightfully dimensional die-cuts to send this card right over the top. Stamp the floral sprigs in VersaMark ink and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then heat set to achieve those final, stunning touches. Supplies needed:

Project Recipe:

1. Cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock at 8-1/2"x5-1/2" score at 4-1/4".

2. Cut a piece of designer series paper at 4"x5-1/2" cut this piece so you have a piece that is 1-1/4"x5-1/2" and a piece that is 2-3/4"x5-1/2". Flip the 1-1/4" x5-1/2" piece and use the pattern on the opposite side. Adhere the 1-1/4"x5-1/2" piece approximately 1/4" from the edge of the card stock using your favorite adhesive.

3. Take a scrap of Mint Macaron cardstock approximately 3/4"x5-1/2" emboss the scalloped edge using the dies from the Penned Flowers Dies. Adhere this on top of the edge of the piece of 1-1/4" designer series paper.

4. Take the piece of 2-3/4"x5-1/2"designer series paper and adhere it to the folded edge of the card base it will overlap the edge of the scalloped piece.

5. Die cut the stitched shape circle in basic white. These are now retired so you could use the Layered circle dies.

6. Stamp the Floral image from the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set in Memento Ink and then stamp the two step images in the colors of Cinnamon Cider, Pale Papaya, and Mint Macaron. Die cut the image using the matching die. Pop this up using Stampin Dimensionals

7. Stamp your sentiment on a scrap piece of Cinnamon Cider cut at 1/2"x2-1/2" angle cut the end. Pop the sentiment piece up using mini Stampin Dimensionals.

8. Add a bow from the Open Weave Ribbon in the color of Soft Succulent adhere with a glue dot and add some of the Genial Gems.

9. Be sure to stamp the same floral image of the inside of your card and add a piece of designer series paper to the envelop flap to make for a completed look. Thanks for stopping bye. Happy Stamping Charity
