Fun Fold Fine Art Floral

Project Recipe:

  1. Cut a piece of card stock 4-1/4"x5-1/2"

  2. Cut a piece of basic white cardstock at 7"x4-3/4" score at 3-1/2"

  3. Cut a piece of designer series paper at 4"x10-1/2" score carefully at 2-7/8" and 7-7/8" Burnish the fold lines. Put a pencil mark at half way point of the paper width which is 2" score from that 2" line to the score line on each side. This will give you a triangle shape. Flip the designer series paper and do the same thing on the opposite side.

  4. This is what the designer series paper will look like once you have the score lines added to both sides

  5. Add your favorite adhesive to the flaps of the triangle and adhere them down.

  6. Adhere the designer series paper to the card base that you cut at 4-1/4"x5-1/2" to make for a stronger card.

  7. Next I added the sentiment to the front of the card. I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and layered then on top of each other. When you adhere this layer on be sure that you watch where you add adhesive. I added it just to the point of the triangles.

  8. This is what the card will look like once you adhere the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

  9. Now we will stamp the insert for the card. This is on the piece of basic white that we cut at 7"x.

I stamped the Fine Art Floral Image first in Flirty Flamingo and then in Poppy Parade. Then what I choose to do was adhere this down then on the front flap I made some light pencil marks marking where the Stitched So Sweetly Dies will cover. And Stamped the same Fine Art Floral Image again in the same colors.

  10. Layer you the flowers. This one was stamping in Old Olive first, Then again in Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade, Then fuss cut out the Flirty Flamingo/ Poppy Parade colored flower. And adhere this one down onto the old olive this gives you a more realistic looking floral image.

  11. Add a piece of Merry Merlot 1/2"x4-1/4" across the Stitched So Sweetly Dies under the flowers.

  12. Stamp your sentiment onto the scrap piece of Bumblebee cardstock cut at 1/2"x2-3/8" . Then arrange these all to your liking. Add some Gold enamel dots and gold bow for the finishing touches.
