Timeless Tulips

Project Recipe:

  1. Your card base is cut at 5-1/2"x8-1/2" score at 4-1/4". Poppy Parade is the color chosen for this card base. Then you will cut a Basic white layer at 4"x5-1/4" this layer is then embossed using the Painted Textures Embossing Folder. Adhere this layer to the card base using your favorite adhesive. Then you will cut a layer from Basic Black at 3"x4-1/4" for the mat of the focal image which is cut from a piece of basic white at 2-3/4"x4". On this layer of basic white stamp your tulip image once on the piece of paper then again on a scrap so you can punch it out and pop it up using dimensionals. The Tulip was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink and then I took a sponge dauber and added some Poppy Parade color to the edge of the tulip. I really like how this looks. Stamp the stem in Old Olive. Add the leaves in. Then adhere the white layer to the mat of Basic Black and adhere the entire thing to the embossed card front.

  2. You can change the look of this card by how you add your sentiment. You can stamp directly onto the card front. Or stamp your sentiment on a scrap and add that to the card.
