Hand Penned Layout Challenge Happy Birthday

I created the card below for this card challenge

Project Recipe:

  1. Cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 5-1/2"x8-1/2" score it at 4-1/4".

  2. Then cut a piece of designer series paper at 4"x5-1/4". If it is patterned paper pay attention to the direction so you cut your paper correctly. Adhere this using your favorite adhesive. I choose to use multipurpose glue that way it allows me sometime to adjust the designer series paper.

  3. Cut a piece of Cinnamon cider cardstock at 2-1/4"x 5-1/4" . You will then cut another piece of designer series paper 2-1/8"x 5-1/8". To give my card some interest I then cut this piece of designer series paper in half and flipped one side over so it appears that I have two different pieces of designer series paper. But in reality I do not. The cut line will get covered up. Adhere this to the cardstock that you just cut at 2-1/4"x5-1/4". Then adhere this layer to the front of the card using your favorite adhesive. Space it approximately 5/8" from the fold on the card front.

  4. Die cut from the 2021-2023 In color Shimmer Velum paper the circle image from the Painted Labels Die Set. Then adhere this down.

  5. Stamp your floral image in Memento Ink from the Hand Penned Petals Stamp set. Then color your image in. I used an old Wink of Stella pen and lifted the ink that I put onto a block off with the pen to color in the image. I did that will the colors Cinnamon Cider, Mint Macaroon, and Misty Moonlight. Just be sure to clean the brush good between colors. Die cut this out using the Penned Flowers Dies. Pop it up using Stampin Dimensionals.

  6. Cut a piece of mint macaroon cardstock 3/4"x4" , Or if you have a scrap laying around any size will work. Then run it thru the embossing folder Tasteful Textiles. Adhere this down using multipurpose glue. I find that detail embossed pieces do not stay attached well if using Stampin Seal.

  7. Then die cut the scalloped piece from Misty Moonlight cardstock this piece is a scrap that was 1"x 2-1/2" adhere this down to the mint macaroon piece. Line up with the edge of the designer series paper.

  8. Stamp your sentiment on a piece of 1/2"x2-1/2" piece of basic white. Pop this up using Stampin Dimensionals.

  9. For the finishing touches to the front of the card I added a bow from the In Color Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon. And a few of the Genial Gems. Be sure to stamp the floral image on the inside of your card and finish the envelope flap with a piece of designer series paper to complete the entire look. Thanks for stopping bye, Happy Stamping Charity
