One of my favorite ways to color is using the Stampin' Up! Blends Alcohol Markers.  These markers make any coloring so quick and easy to blend colors and create beautiful work of arts.  I created these beauftiful cards using True Love Designer Series Paper which is a black and white designer series paper which makes coloring with the Stampin' Up! Blends a great choice.

 

 

All of the cards started with the same measurements Card base was cut using Basic Black at 8-1/2"x11" in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8-1/2"x5-1/2". Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front.  The card front now measures 4-1/4"x5-1/2".  Then you will cut a layer of Melon Mambo at 4-3/4"x3-3/4". Adhere that to the card base using your favorite adhesive.  Then Cut a piece of Basic White 4"x3-1/4".  On this layer I added some extra texture by taking the ink refiller and Shimmer paint and flicked the ink onto the Basic White cardstock. I cut a small strip of designer series paper 1/2"x 3" to adhere to the side of the basic white layer.  Then  I fussy cut the floral images out of the True Love Designer Series paper then colored them using the Light and Dark Melon Mambo Stampin' Up! Blend and the Light and Dark Smokey Slate Blends.  I like to start with the dark first and then color in with the light marker.  I sometimes come back in and darken some areas again with the Dark Blend.  I also try to leave some areas with no color so it appears that the light is reflecting off the image.  Pop up the floral images to give your card some depth. Add your sentiment. In this example I Stamped the Sentiment in Versa Mark and then added the white embossing powder.
